About Nicholas Paoni

I'm a Southern California based photographer.  My images have been published by National Geographic and selected as "Photo of the Day" on the Nat. Geo. Website.  They have also been featured in the Editors Favorite section of National Geographic Your Shot.  I was also a finalist in the International Photo Competition "Focus on Nature"  sponsored by Outdoor Photographer Magazine, and one of my images was selected as an Outdoor Photographer "Photo of the Day".

Although I enjoy several types of photography, living along the coast of San Diego County has given me a special appreciation for the surfing and beach-centric culture here which has been an inspiration and driving force in my work.
